Toyota NRL Legendary Moments

NRL's Wally 'The King' Lewis revives Toyota Legendary Moments

It was 1989 and Game 2 of the State of Origin series. Queensland's situation was desperate. The bench was full of wounded stars. The New South Wales Blues had possession until Trevor Gillmeister almost cut the Blues' Brad Clyde in half with a low tackle. The ball spilled and Michael Hagan passed it to Wally Lewis. Lewis ran.

It was this amazing try from Wally 'The King' Lewis that inspired a depleted Queensland team to rally themselves to victory, and form the first NRL instalment in Toyota's Legendary Moments advertising campaign.
